SYNOPSIS:
Xiao Qi, a lonely young man, is trapped in his childhood grief of being abandoned just before a rainstorm. Together with his childhood best friend, Kong Long, they create a haven where the rest of the world is kept at bay. The arrival of a girl rudely disrupts the dynamics of this static world and Xiao Qi is forced to confront reality as he struggles to break free from the shackles of his past. In the process, he learns to live by learning to love - but will it be too late?

DIRECTOR’S BIO:
Gloria has been working in the media industry as a producer/director on many genres across the spectrum covering corporate videos, music videos, documentary, infotainment, drama. Her experience in the film industry includes being first assistant director to several prolific film makers in Singapore. She has harboured a personal aim to make her own film and after years of accumulating an all-rounded experience, she decides, with the unwavering support of her friends and colleagues, to realise her passion in working with actors and makes her debut feature film.

Gloria’s next film is a motion picture that invites you to share the incredible journey of two individuals learning about love through all its confusion. Entitled Parallel Connection, it is a story about Gina who has come to a point in life where she needs an extension of herself to love. Her boss and surrogate brother, Jia Hui has courageously pledged to play the role of a lifetime. And now they will each begin their journey that will change them forever. Original and inspired by a true story from Singapore, Parallel Connection is a touching film about what we long for; what we settle; and who we are meant for.
